This month guests are poet Daragh Bradish and poet and author Gerry Hanberry
Daragh Bradish was born and raised in Terenure, Dublin. He spent his formative years in Bray, County Wicklow.  Studied fine arts and history in TCD. In recent years he has spent a great deal of time in Liscannor, County Clare.  Coming late to seriously writing, his first published poem was in Revival #18. He has since been published in journals in Ireland, UK and in Europe. Easter in March is first collection and is published by Liberty Press.
Daragh has coordinated the Soundings for Simon readings to raise funds for Dublin Simon each year since 2010.
Gerry Hanberry has published four collections of poetry to date and also a biography of the Wilde family, More Lives Than One - The Remarkable Wilde Family Through the Generations (Collins Press, 2011). His most recent poetry collection is 'What Our Shoes Say About Us' published by Salmon Poetry in July 2014. This follows the collection 'At Grattan Road' published by Salmon Poetry in 2009. Paul Perry, reviewing the collection 'At Grattan Road' for the Irish Times, said it was "bursting at the seams with fine poems". Hanberry's first collection, Rough Night, was published in 2002 by Stonebridge Publications, Wales. This was followed in 2005 by Something Like Lovers, also from Stonebridge Publications. In summer 2004 Hanberry won the Brendan Kennelly/Sunday Tribune Poetry Award.
He holds an MA in Writing from the National University of Ireland, Galway, where he teaches a Creative Writing course to undergraduates. He is also a teacher of English at St. Enda's College, Salthill. In addition he performs regularly as a singer-songwriter and runs occasional creative writing and poetry appreciation workshops.
Everyone is invited to take part in the open-mic after the main event, poets, storytellers, musicians and writers . Even if you don't write you are welcome to bring something along to read. The night begins at 8.00pm and admission is free. So join us on the night and make this event something special.
NOTE: Our special authors book table will again be in operation, so if you want your book, CD's etc publicised make sure you are represented on the table.

The Limerick Writers' Centre Presents The June 2015 'On The Nail' Literary Gathering Tuesday 2nd June 2015 @ The Loft Venue @ The Locke Bar, Georges Quay, Limerick. Start 8.00pm sharp! This months guests are writers Mike Gallagher and John McGrath. Mike Gallagher , writer, poet and editor, was born on Achill Island and worked in London for forty years before retiring to Kerry. His prose, poetry, haiku and songs have been published in Ireland and throughout Europe, America, Australia, Nepal, India, Thailand, Japan and Canada. His writing has been translated into Croatian, Japanese, Dutch, German and Chinese. He won the 2009 Samhlaiocht Slam, the 2010 Michael Hartnett Viva Voce competition, he was shortlisted for the Hennessy Award in 2011 and won the Desmond O'Grady International Poetry Contest in 2012.
